Laser and IPL Client/Patient Eyewear

For treatments close to, or on the face, dedicated shields should be used to protect the eyes. The normal operator eyewear (safety spectacles) are unsuitable for the following reasons,

They do not usually fit flush to the face
They may not offer adequate protection (particularly true of IPL filters)
Those undergoing treatments often find a 'flash' in the face to be very unnerving

A variety of solutions are available to safeguard the eyes of patients/clients, which broadly fall into two categories,

Single use (disposable) eye covers
Mini-goggles (non-disposable)

Each solution has advantages and disadvantages. For example, the mini-goggles are a fixed shape and so might not fit everyone's face. We would generally recommend therefore having more than one solution to ensure a robust method of protection is maintained for all clients/patients.
