What is included
All courses include notes and certificates for all participants. Lunch and refreshments are provided at our scheduled courses.
Course target participants
The course is ideal for operators, managers, laser protection supervisors (LPS)/laser safety officers (LSO) or those planning to undertake these roles. We can also provide shorter laser safety training sessions or update courses where appropriate.
Legal Requirements
Whilst adequate safety training has been a legal requirement for some time, the optical radiation regulations (2010)
specifically identify training for those involved with lasers and intense light sources. Core of knowledge courses are also a specific condition for the special treatments licenses required by many London councils.
The term 'core of knowledge' is defined in the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) guidance publication, DB2008(03), April 2008. Our courses are approved by the British Medical Laser Association (BMLA).
