Laser Protection Adviser (LPA) Appointment
Independent medical and cosmetic businesses using lasers or Intense Light Sources must be registered with the Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW). A requirement of registration is that a
certificated Laser Protection Adviser (LPA) be appointed.

Standard P2.1 of the
National Minimum Standards For Private and Voluntary Healthcare Services 2002 states the requirement for laser/IPL safety training. We can add an on-site training session to our site visit which generally works out better value than attending a generic course elsewhere.
