The training will provide participants with an understanding of the legal and operational safety requirements concerning laser and IPL equipment, focusing on medical and cosmetic applications. It is suitable for all professionals involved with lasers and intense light sources. It will be ideal for the Laser Protection Supervisor (LPS) or those planning to undertake this role. The course will be lead by an experienced trainer and Certificated Laser Protection Adviser (Simon Wharmby).

Course Content

The 'Core of Knowledge' syllabus as suggested by the MHRA will be covered. In addition,
the course will cover the practical implications of the latest changes in regulation such as:
The Control of Artificial Optical Radiation at Work Regulations 2010
Health and Social Care Regulations 2010 and the Standards for Quality and Safety
Local Authority Regulations and Requirements (e.g. London)
